The Women's Bodice or vest was worn over a Chemise, see out #PATTERN-56. It is styled similar to a corset and, if made of firm wool, lined and tied snuggly, gives much the same affect. Fabrics can match the skirt, be of similar weight but a contrasting color or of a stripe or calico in lighter weight materials. This pattern includes sizes 8 through 20.

This fine pattern offers both a hip length or a waist length Bodice with a pointed front variation so that it may be tailored to individual desires or needs and it is lined for strength and warmth. Three front closing variations are shown; ties sewn on both sides of the front, lacing through the eyelets on the fronts, or buttons with loops.
