This Thompson Center Hawken rear sight fits their .45 or .50 caliber Hawken flint or percussion rifles, or can be fitted to any 15/16" octagon barrel. Mounts with two 6-48 screws that are 0.835 on center, more closely spaced than earlier rear sights. Two 6-48 screws are included. This sight has the V notch designed for use with the bead front sight. Representative photo shown.
The sight mounts to the base with a roll pin to secure it. The base must be screwed to the barrel then the leaf can be installed. Screw adjustable for windage, it has the nice click adjustable elevation feature. Rear sight has a small round notch for a bead style front sight.
Made in the U.S.A., this sight is no longer made by Thompson Center, and has become scarce after the factory fire destroyed most spare parts. We have only one.
