This powder horn is finished with a light body and faun colored tip with raised rings to secure a strap. The body of the horn has a engrailed scrimshaw border at the neck. The horn is very neatly scrimshawed with a map of New York, the Hudson River Valley, Lake Champlain, Lake Ontario, with assorted forts and points of interest listed. The horn measures 13" around the outside curve from the tip to the end of the wood base. A turned beehive base with acorn finial to tie a strap. A turned wooden stopper is fitted. The base of the horn is signed Don Morgan. The horn is used and does have one cut into the surface below the "Royal Blokhous"
