A 1.19" straight octagon barrel blank with a .45 caliber bore rifled with a fast twist. Blank is 31-1/4" long with a 3/8" stub at one end and 3/4" stub at the other. They have no threads. The end is marked W.H. Hobaugh 458 18 3 XX. W. H. Hobaugh was a rifle and barrel maker in the 1960's. This barrel weighs 8.8 pounds. The outside heat treated blue finish has some scattered brown from long storage. We do not know the alloy steel of this barrel, recommended for use with black powder only. We have only example at this price.
